| Grumbling against Moses is the same as against God! |

| The Lord said to Moses, "Put back Aaron's staff in front of the testimony, to be kept as a sign to the rebellious*. This will put an end to their grumbling against me, so that they will not die." Moses did just as the Lord commanded him. |

It is VERY clear here that God said the people were grumbling against GOD ... yet the text said they were grumbling against Moses. So, we can see how grumbling aginst Moses is the SAME as grumbling against GOD! *God can point out sin to help us |
