The Book of Numbers is way cool (so cool that PURPLE is even part of it ... check out Numbers 4:13). Referring to it as boring or just list of numbers and census results is, well, let me put it this way...

Once upon a time, back in April and May this year (2002) reading Numbers for the first time and liking it so much that I made special journal entries for the verses that seemed so important, so significant, so sad, so exciting, so memorable, so ... so funny! Yes, how many other books of the Bible do you see God get SARCASTIC (see Numbers 11:18-20)?

But don't take my word for it ... look for yourself. I hope to present my case for NUMBERS in three parts, beginning with reproductions (more or less) of my journal pages from Spring 2002 (already completed), followed by interesting tidbits gleaned from this really cool Bible I have, and ending with highlights from various other sources. Numbers isn't boring ... and I hope my presentation isn't either.
